Roadside parking is available on the lane to the east of the dam wall. This can be used as the start point for walks around the reservoir, down to the Macclesfield canal, or into the hills to the east.
A lap of Bosley Reservoir is around 5K with a couple of seats, can be muddy in places, and walking on a section of the A54.
Bosley Reservoir tends to be quieter than some of the others nearby.
