The Eisenhüttensteig leads hikers from Erla over the Hohes Rad mountain range to the district of Pöhla. It starts near the historic manor. Information boards tell about the mining of iron ore, the extraction and processing of iron and the history of old transport and stagecoach routes. The former Erla iron works and the Pöhla arrow hammer have a special story to tell. The Eisenhüttensteig hike can be combined as a circular route with the Erla-Crandorf local hiking trail and the "Rother Berg" circular route.
