Beautiful walking area along the mist channel and the Waal between Zaltbommel and Gameren. Joris Baudoin's concrete bulldozer also stands along the dike, which recalls the high water levels in winter, especially those of 1995 when all residents of the Bommelerwaard had to be evacuated.
The Ruyterwaard brick factory used to be located here, which was closed in 1987, also due to high water and financial problems.translated by
