The new year kicked off with a special parkrun in Graz, the first of its kind. We started in freezing temperatures with just a handful of people. It would have been a sad affair without the Donaupark runners who made the trip. A huge thank you to the brave volunteers for this wonderful start to the new year!

Today went much better and I was able to run steadily, thanks in part to the inhaler that helps clear my lungs. There were lots of Santas at the finish line and I was treated to cookies and tea. I got a nice finish line photo with Meli and Wendy, even though those two boys left me in the dust.

There were so few participants at Klagenfurt parkrun today that I got lost on the last lap and had my result corrected afterwards, as I was 180 meters short. We gladly accepted the invitation to Klagenfurt since it's not far from Graz. We met some familiar runners in the café. A very pleasant outing.
