The Bröl is a right tributary into the Sieg, which in turn flows into the Rhine. The source of the river, also known as "Brölbach" or "Homburgische Bröl", rises near Waldbröl-Hermesdorf. After running through the two districts of Oberbergischer Kreis and Rhein-Sieg-Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia, the Bröl joins the Sieg at Hennef-Müschmühle after 45.1 kilometers.
