Five oaks natural monument

The five oaks probably originate from the Napoleonic period (approx. 200 years) and grew out of an oak stick as a natural rash. On the occasion of a timber harvest that took place earlier, they simply remained standing for unknown reasons and were later preserved by the State Forestry Administration as special splendid specimens to this day. In the technical language of the foresters they are referred to as "oaks - overholding". Just like the “Zwieseleiche” standing on our “Weg deswassers” and the “Big Oak” near Buttnich, these trees are considered natural monuments in the Büschfeld Forest that are particularly worthy of preservation.
