Finnenbahn - since 2010 - renewed in 2020 The Erzgräberweg premium hiking trail leads a bit across the Gresaubach district at this point. As a special highlight, a so-called Finnenbahn (Franz Klesen path) was set up east of the entry point by the Nordic walking team. The forest floor in the path area was provided with an additional springy layer of wood chips, which makes walking particularly gentle on the joints. Next to the Finnenbahn you can see deep ditches. These are sunken paths from historical times, when people still drove from Bettingen to Limbach with iron-shod wheels and wagons. The torn path surface was washed away down the slope when it rained and the cut path became deeper and deeper. Source: Text information board

Beautifully designed, path-laid section of the Erzgäberweg between Gresaubach and Limbach through the typical beech forest
