Kemnader See North Shore

Experience this 10.6-kilometer loop trail near Witten, North Rhine-Westphalia. The route is generally classified as moderate and can usually be completed in 2 hours 33 minutes. The path is ideal for hiking, trail running and walking.

A walk around the lake takes about 2.5 hours and is about 10 km. But it is definitely recommended. There are plenty of rest and refreshment opportunities

Kemnader See, built in 1979, is the youngest of the Ruhr reservoirs and is located in the triangle of cities between Witten, Bochum and Hattingen.
A sailing harbor, boat rentals, the Heveney leisure pool, a beach volleyball hall, a golf course, an illuminated inline skating track and much more invite walkers, cyclists and inline skaters to get active themselves. Various restaurants, ice cream vans, a beach bar, a mini golf course and playgrounds round off the perfect leisure fun.
