In spring, there's the "Winteraustreibung" (winter expulsion), and in autumn, there's the "Hubertusnacht" (night of St. Hubert) with an owl flight show and deer rut (with a bit of luck on that exact date). Both are well worth experiencing – we've encountered lynx and many other nocturnal animals several times... ;°)
