The historic old town of Düsseldorf - Kaiserswerth has the flair of a small Dutch town and some interesting old buildings. The ruins of the Kaiserpfalz are also not far away, but at the moment it can only be viewed from the outside due to Corona.

"... The Kaiserswerth market, mentioned in 1181 as a "forum", was a place for transshipment and loading goods in the Middle Ages. It runs at a right angle to the old Rhine crossing as an elongated, originally planned square with uniform dimensions of the plots and formerly with a free-standing town hall. In Fliedner Street, which runs parallel to the market, stands the classicist Protestant church with the associated rectory. ..."
