"... The first mention of a water-protected knight's seat of the Lords of Calcum zu Lohausen dates back to 1235. In 1804, after bankruptcy, they sold the knight's seat and the adjoining Lohauser Hof along with lands to the Düsseldorf colonial trader, city councilor and municipal councilor Heinrich Balthasar Lantz.
After the death of Ludwig Lantz (1885-1969), the city of Düsseldorf bought the entire property in 1972. The servants' houses on Lohauser Dorfstrasse are giving way to modern residential buildings. ... "
