Hiking
Plenty of opportunities to spend your free time on and around the campus. Absolutely recommendable for a street photo walk!

The district of Kassel-Nord was shaped by the machine works Henschel & Sohn. The factory became famous for building locomotives and steam engines, but also made tanks during the Nazi era. Today's university is located on the site of the former factory, of which some buildings are still preserved. The Ahna meanders across the university campus, which you can follow on hiking trails directly across the university grounds.
