The Lammetjeswiel (also called Lammetjeswaal) is a recreational lake in the municipality of Alblasserdam. The small lake, which is about 200 by 100 meters in size, is a wheel, a kind of gully that was formed by a dyke breach in 1373 of the tidal river Noord, the connection between the Merwede and the Lek. [1]The Lammetjeswiel is located between the Huis te Kinderdijk estate and the waterbus port of Alblasserdam.
