Unfortunately, it has been closed since November 18, 2023. An "unfriendly" collision with a ship's crane caused significant structural damage. Whether it will be repaired or rebuilt is yet to be determined.

A very important structure for Cologne, it provides access to the beautiful Rhine riverbanks and is used by many athletes and day-trippers on the long route along Niehl Harbor. The harbor area and the previously dead-end street have been relieved of their dingy appearance simply by the presence of ordinary citizens.
