Fiery Lane? Your legs are gonna be on fire by the time you top out! This is Lampern Hill's evil little brother.

An undulating section between Uley and Owlpen is followed by a brutal 25% climb. The main difficulties are comparable to the length and steepness of the really hard part of Beacon Lane at Haresfield, though the over all length is shorter, so Beacon Lane still gets my vote for the hardest (viable) climb in Gloucestershire, but it's close. The top of the hill, though only around 5% is a drag for tired legs... enjoy!

For me the main challenge was from Birdsnest cottage (tagged "Amazing" on Google Maps) to the top of the wooded section. It's a major test. The final 90m of the wooded section in particular is a proper leg burner.
