A steep climb out of Dursley on the A4135 up to around 17%, which is thankfully shaded by trees. I stopped the segment here because that is the meat of the climbing done and people may want to drop down the other side to Waterley Bottom. However, the climb drags on at a much shallower gradient for another mile and a half before kicking up again before the turn offs to Ozleworth and Wotton-Under-Edge.
