Road cycling

In Sachsenhagen, the town hall, built in 1607, initially served as a house of prayer, which consequently received a bell tower in 1712. The Evangelical Lutheran parish of Sachsenhagen with around 2000 members, with Auhagen since 1990, is part of the Evangelical Lutheran regional church of Schaumburg-Lippe. In 1650 it became an independent parish when it was granted city rights by Countess Amalie Elisabeth zu Hessen-Kassel.

Nordic walking

From 1663 to 1676 the church was built without a steeple. Thanks to the generous donation from Ms. Tunner-Hartmann from Hanover, the church tower could be built in 1976. The church was completely renovated in 1996/97.
