In my opinion, this section on the North Canal near Kaarst (between the A 57 and L 361) is not recommended. The cycle path is narrow and is located directly on the busy Neersener Straße / federal highway. You don't see much of the North Canal either.

As an alternative, I suggest bypassing the section to the south, e.g. via Holzbüttgen, Linning and Vorst, as in this suggestion: komoot.de/highlight/460940. The sections on the north canal in the west ("Im Emschert") and east ("Am Stadtwald") are again much nicer and easier to navigate.
