Located across Kirigalpotta and Totapola Mountains, Lonely Planet calls the World's End “a beautiful, silent, strange world.” Known in Sinhalese as the Maha Eliya Plains, three major rivers run throughout the plains. It is a popular destination for hikers.
Our walk was 9 klms round trip in the pouring rain. I don't think this place ever sees the sun. It was a wonderful experience but not if your not in reasonably fit. It's a hard slog in places
