Please check local regulations for: Horton Plains National Park
The road through Horton Plains National Park is one of the most beautiful and challenging routes in the country. It climbs through pine and eucalyptus forests to almost 2200m on fairly rough asphalt (40mm or wider tyres recommended) then almost flat through cool and misty grasslands. If you have the time, do the World's End hike in the park.
