The road from Ohiya to the Horton Plains National Park provides a spectacular view of the southeast escarpment of Horton Plains and of the accompanying considerable height gain.

This scene is observed best at an altitude of about 2100 m (6900 ft) near to the road’s summit. In clear weather the panorama will extend southward and you may even feel that you are walking above the clouds!
