Located across Kirigalpotta and Totapola Mountains, Lonely Planet calls the Horton Plains National Park “a beautiful, silent, strange world.” Known in Sinhalese as the Maha Eliya Plains, three major rivers run throughout the plains. It is a popular destination for hikers and in search of two sites known as the World’s End and Baker’s Falls.
A great hiking area in the national park, rivers, waterfalls and lots of nature. During the hike through the national park you will roam through two forms of vegetation, the wet grassland and the mountain rainforest. Highlights include the Small and Big World's End and Baker's Waterfall, as well as the Red Bridge.
