A very worthwhile goal. From the Alpspitz you can enjoy a great view of the Rhine Valley and the foothills of the Rätikon.

The path from the Gaflei to the Alpspitz is very beautiful and also highly recommended for people who are not free from vertigo. You don't need any special skills for this section - except that you have to conquer a few meters in altitude and climb over a few roots.

To the summit cross of the Alpspitz
The Alpspitz, with its great views, rises above Bärgälla, and the Fürstensteig, the most famous mountain hiking trail in the Rätikon, leads through the western flank - a first-class circuit full of contrasts and surprises.
From Gaflei, an alpine path winds its way through a pasture slope to the Bärgälla Alp and the Bärgälla saddle, where the view encompasses the entire Liechtenstein Alps with their valleys and peaks; the summit of the Alpspitz is within reach: between pines, the path leads past Liechtenstein's geographical center and up to the mountain cross - time for a rest with a wonderful panoramic view at the oldest summit cross in Liechtenstein. In 1944, the Vaduz court chaplain Martin Bamert had the cross, which can be seen from afar, erected.
From the Alpspitz, the trail continues through dense pine forest to the chimney, also signposted as "Chemi", and in this notch below the Helwangspitz, steeply downhill, then below the Alpspitz-Schrofen to the junction with the Liechtenstein Panorama Trail (Via Alpina) at the Gafleisattel. There, the decision is made whether to take the Fürstensteig or return to the starting point, the Alp Gaflei, on the same route.

The approach via the Fürstensteig is particularly wonderful. An exposed path, excitingly wrested from the mountain, offers wonderful views of the Rhine Valley, which lies far below.

Further up, you are rewarded with a view from the Alpsitze, which extends far into the Alps and offers a multitude of new destinations.
