The Terril du Hasard is a slag heap located in the Liège region 123. It is part of the former coal basin of Liège and is located near the municipalities of Beyne-Heusay, Liège and Fléron. The slag heap has a height of 355 meters, making it the highest point in the Pays de Herve. It is surrounded by a wooded area and offers beautiful views of the surroundings.
The Terril du Hasard covers an area of approximately 20.12 hectares and is classified as a Site of Major Biological Interest (SGIB). It is home to various species of flora and fauna, including the orchid Epipactis helleborine, the grenouille rousse (Rana temporaria) and the triton alpestre (Ichthyosaura alpestris).
