The St. Marienkirche in Dresden-Cotta was consecrated by Bishop Schäfer on September 9, 1906 and in 1910 received an organ from the Dresden company Gebrüder Jehmlich. The building was designed by the Paderborn master builder Arnold Güldenpfennig and the Dresden architect Heino Otto in neo-Romanesque style.
