This is where the 100 km long Ahrsteig ends. I will remember the Ahrsteig as a very beautiful and varied hike in stages. Idyllic forest paths, meadow paths and sometimes “alpine sections” alternate in terms of landscape. So there is something for every hiker. I personally liked the 5th stage from Kreuzberg to Walporzheim the best. Due to the sometimes quite long and steep climbs, this is a fairly demanding stage, but the beautiful views of the Ahr Valley more than compensated for the effort.
