The Wörlitzer See, which emerged from an arm of the Elbe, forms the center of the huge in the 18th century under Prince Leopold III. Friedrich Franz von Anhalt-Dessau laid out park and garden. Many charming architectures and garden areas were created on the shore zones. In many places you can also see the Wörlitz Castle.
The tours with the gondola are popular. These lead on the lake, through many canals and over other small lakes through the entire park. Being rowed through the Garden Kingdom is a very convenient way to discover the park. Nevertheless, the hike on foot is also recommended. There are also many exciting things to discover on land and on several islands.
