The Flora Temple was built by Erdmannsdorff in 1797/98 based on the model of Chambers Casinobau in Wilson, which in turn goes back to the Clitumnus Temple near Spoleto. At the time of Prince Franz it served as a music pavilion, well suited for making music in a quartet.
In honor of the goddess of flowers and youth, this area has always been decorated with flowers, which was not common in the early landscape garden. In front of the temple, even the "revered tools of fertility are painted with flowers on the green lawn".
The upper floor was painted inside by Johann Fischer from Berlin with genii, floral motifs and depictions of flowers in Wedgwood vessels. A flora statue forms the plastic jewelry.
