The Nimberg is a beautiful panoramic mountain in the Rhine valley, in front of the Kaiserstuhl. There is a lot of fruit and wine growing there. The mountain church is a remnant of an Antonite monastery complex. There used to be an underground tunnel to the village that was filled in. A castle is said to have stood on the hill above the village (Beckenbirkle).
