Church of Our Lady of the Snows (Sněžná)

Inside the church there is a statue of the Virgin Mary, which is probably imitated from the image of grace in Česká Kamenice: the simple woman becomes the queen of heaven. In 1982, Cardinal Tomášek visited Sněžná, celebrated Mass in a festive service, thereby emphasizing the importance of this place.Behind the pilgrimage chapel are the remains of a cemetery. The pilgrimage church of Maria Schnee with an outside pulpit for the people when they can no longer fit inside during the pilgrimage, and an expressive Nepomuk sculpture.
Originally just a chapel (namely the lower part; consecrated in 1734, donated by the Liebsch couple from Schnauhübel), it soon became a place of pilgrimage (from 1814 annually in August) and in 1845/47 the nave was added.
