Just a few meters away from the Cologne Worringen S-Bahn station is the first photo opportunity:

The Cologne Path accompanying book provides the clarifying information about this unusual brick building: the "Intze Tower" was planned at the beginning of the last century as the base of a water tower for a waterworks, but it was never completed. Today it is a listed residential building.

From here it is not far to perhaps the most beautiful nature reserve within the Cologne city limits, the Worringer Bruch. 👍
