"Explosive gases can develop in the sewage system, which makes it necessary to minimize this risk through air supply. The requirement for ventilation is met by the "Nessy family". Not visible on the surface, around 1,550 kilometers of sewers meander beneath the city of Düsseldorf and ensure that the waste water and rainwater can reach the two sewage treatment plants. A sophisticated infrastructure that is made visible by the Nessy family in the extension as a cheerful "sea monster".
