Culture House Villa Berberich

Exhibitions in the renowned culture center of the city of Bad Säckingen

In 1874 the villa was built by Ignaz Berberich, a citizen of Säckingen and founder of the weaving and textile printing works Berberich & Co. The house served the family as a domicile for decades. In the 1930s, the city acquired the villa and used it from 1940 as a "Park
This is where the internal department of the hospital was housed. With the opening of the new district hospital in the immediate vicinity in 1980, the "Park Hospital" ceased operations. After extensive renovation, the Villa Berberich became the "Villa Berberich House of Culture".

The Kulturhaus Villa Berberich now houses the mineral museum in the basement, a café on the ground floor, exhibition rooms on the 1st floor
and seminar rooms on the 2nd floor.

The park is highly recommended to visit and to enjoy the sun when the weather is nice
