Zug is a typical scattered settlement that was formed from the districts Niederzug, Mittelzug and Oberzug. Old historical names of the area are Oberloßnitz, Rotes Vorwerk, Forwergk aufm Wasserbergk and Auf dem Zug. Together with the district of Langenrinne, which was incorporated in 1950, the town now forms the Freiberg district of Zug, which consists of the following five districts:

Information:
The mine house of the Deep Prince's Mine in the Emanuel Tunnel in Zug. It is a listed building. It served as a mine house and blacksmith's shop from around 1580.
