Best Hikes to Muldenhütten Viaduct and Riverside Rest Area

Tips

  • The impressive 195-meter-long natural stone viaduct was opened in 1862. The Mulde flows in beautiful little arches at this point, a very nice, albeit unfurnished, rest area.

  • Across from the viaduct rest area there is a large tunnel entrance on the other side of the Mulde.

  • The viaduct:
    Over the Freiberger Mulde
near Muldenhütten, built in 1860/1861. A cultural monument.
