In the 1950s, the children were swimming here. Somebody told me that on a tour of Alt-Lemgo e.V. Today, the bridge is dilapidated and almost demolished. A makeshift bridge is temporarily open.

The rushing water gave the bridge on the old weir at the Walkenmühle its popular name. The "Bullersteg" consists only of the steel construction and therefore one reaches the other bank only balancing. Unfortunately, the load-bearing wooden planks are missing. Then the Bega crossing would be easier for hikers traveling over old church paths.
