During the research phase of the program, the students learned that the half-ruined buildings near the school housed a pioneer camp during the GDR era. Based on this discovery and the conversations with their grandparents, the students tracked down old photos, old postcards and contemporary witnesses: the doctor, the leader, 2 employees and participants of the former pioneer camp. The students portrayed these contemporary witnesses on site. The stories of the protagonists show an interplay of past and present.
