This small pond bears the curious name Merpikdel. Del is the word for a lower-class woman, but that can't be the case here. This part is related to valley, and here it means a bowl-shaped depression. If it then fills with water, you will of course have a pond. And it looks very different from the other ponds in the park, a grove of reeds not far from the bank, and a little further away an island full of shrubbery.

Hiking

An idyllic spot in the Prinsenpark. We prefer this place to enjoy the peace and quiet.
The Gertery pond is the largest in the park domain and therefore attracts more attention.
