The church of St. Nikolaus in Büschdorf is the church of the eponymous, formerly independent town. It was built in the second half of the 12th century and thus before the settlement was first mentioned in documents (1228). Büschdorf once arose on the trade route to Leipzig far from the gates of the city of Halle and only grew in the course of industrialization.

Between 1720 and 1724 the church was rebuilt in the baroque style, the church tower was raised and given a hood. Around the church there is a small cemetery, which impresses with the loving design of the tombstones.
