Already before 1800, this place, in the summer dike on the edge of the Maasuiterwaarde
opposite Keent, a small drainage sluice. In 1882 the Polder van Mars en
Wijth thoroughly renovated the lock, but lost after the Maaswerken of the 1930s
it served its function and became overgrown. Landscape management Oss put in the lock
2016 exposed, awaiting final restoration.
