The mighty Berwick Town Walls are an iconic landmark of the town. The structure was built in 1558 to keep out invading Scots, who regularly laid claim to the town. It was the most expensive undertaking of England's Golden Age. These days, you can walk right around the walls, which are still standing. From this spot, you get a fabulous view over the town's three bridges: Berwick Bridge, Royal Tweed Bridge, and Royal Border Bridge.
