The "Kalmbach" running below this rest area rises at a height of around 450m above sea level. NN in the district of Veldenz. With its flow through the locality of Thalveldenz, it is listed in the official cadastre as "Thälerbach" (derived from the locality of "Thalveldenz"). After around 2.6 km, the "Thälerbach" flows into the "Hinterbach" below Thalveldenz.

"𝗠𝗮𝘂𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗺 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗵"

At this point you can see the remains of an old wall that was probably built in the 19th century. It supported the forest meadow above it against the path that ran along it.
