Hiking
Between Helden, Kessel, and Maasbree there is an extensive forest area, with a lot of relief, formed by drifting dunes. Most of the forest consists of Scots pine, previously used as mining timber. Nowadays there is virtually no exploitation anymore.
You can walk and cycle there without it becoming very busy, the area is so vast.
You can take walks via the junctions. The MTB route is not marked. But on RouteYou you will find a GPS route.
