Church history
In 1335 and 1422 Posseck was looked after from Rothenkirchen
In 1338 Posseck got its own pastor.
When the parish church was built cannot be determined exactly. According to the ground plan, this was built as a fortified church.
The church received its present form in the 17th and 19th centuries.
The retaining wall on the tower was added in 1860.
The furnishings of the church date from between 1648 and 1879.
