According to records, it was built in 1724 where it is today. The wooden chapel was about 10 square meters and was idyllically framed by four linden trees. The chapel was built in honor of the miraculous image "Maria Hilf", which is today in the devotional chapel of the parish church.
In 1824 the small and meanwhile very dilapidated wooden chapel was renewed and enlarged. The right rear linden tree had to be felled.
In 1880 the rear left linden tree was knocked down in a thunderstorm, but did not cause any damage.
