From the Braunschweiger Hütte there is a steadily ascending path to the Pitztaler Jöchl, before you have enough opportunities to look back and see the opposite glacier and the increasingly smaller Braunschweiger Hütte. After approx. 30 to 40 minutes you are at a vantage point from which you can see the Riffelsee, now it is only a few hundred meters to the Jöchl.
