Andreas Alnpeckscher or Weißtaubner Stolln: A tunnel - in the Saxon region mainly written in proper names and traditionally also Stolln - is an underground passage driven horizontally or slightly rising into a mountain or hill from the surface of the earth, which creates a connection to a pit . The main function consisted in the removal of accumulating groundwater and in order to supply fresh air into the mine. Most of the tunnel mouth holes can therefore be found in the immediate vicinity of rivers or streams. The mouth hole of the Alnpeckschen tunnel was set up near the bank of the Mulden and is on the other side of the fence on the premises of the explosives factory. The escaping tunnel water is still used today. The tunnel had drifted east into the mountains. Its course can still be followed safely at the numerous break-ins and heaps.
