Before 1899, the Rabeninsel can not be found on the city maps of the city of Halle, as the city had not yet expanded to such an extent. Only in the plan from 1899 does one see that the development around Wörmlitzer Straße (then up to Böllberger Weg) was slowly emerging and the planning of the streets up to today's Pestalozzistraße (then Böllberger Mühlrain) was progressing. This year, no bridge to the island can be seen yet, but a ferry drove across from Böllberg.
