At the Henriette windmill there is also a parking lot for the access path to the “Nordpfad Hinterholz und Hohenmoor” which starts about 700 meters away.

The Henriette windmill was originally built in 1793 in Hamburg-Flottbeck. After almost 100 years of service, it was dismantled, loaded onto rafts, and transported across the Oste River to Elm, where it resumed milling operations in 1871.The mill, initially powered by wind power, was additionally powered by a diesel engine from 1913 to 1952. From 1952 until milling operations ceased in 1994, milling was carried out exclusively by electric drive.Source:muehlenroute.de/muehlen-entlang-der-strecke/an-der-nordroute/windmuehle-henriette-elm.html

A well-preserved technical monument. Unfortunately, the windmill blades were probably for restoration. :-)
