This dam through the bog deviates from the usual straight paths through the bog. Together with the old dam, it is probably the oldest path through the moor. Some passages over the streams have to be overcome over stones. A bar gives support.

A hike over the Krummen Damm through the Hohe Moor has its own beauty. Below you are six meters of peat. The sky is reflected on the moor water and you can see dead birch trees everywhere: a good sign, they signal that the renaturation program of Lower Saxony and the EU is successful: the water level is rising again.
